Soraluce Used Machines – Travelling Column Milling Machines and Machining Centers
Soraluce is a long-established and globally recognised Spanish manufacturer of milling machines in various configurations for large and heavy workpieces. As a key part of the Danobat Group, founded in 1954, and backed by its own research center, Soraluce plays a decisive role in shaping the future of large-scale milling machines.
Our Soraluce travelling-column milling machines and travelling-column machining centers all feature a moving column: the workpiece stays fixed on the table or table sections while the machining unit on the column, together with the milling spindle, travels along the X-axis. This allows for large travel ranges of up to 10 m and workpiece weights in the double-digit tonne range, combined with consistently high precision. Every machine we take into stock is technically inspected for control system, drive technology and mechanical condition. Our stock changes continuously; which Soraluce machines are currently available with full technical data is shown in detail below.

Frequently Asked Questions about Liebherr Used Machines
Not currently in stock. For gear grinding we recommend taking a look at our other manufacturers such as Reishauer, Kapp Niles or Gleason, along with a careful review of your technical requirements. Our Liebherr gear hobbing and gear shaping machines (LC 502 and LFS 380) run very precisely and are accurate enough for many applications. As a result, they are often a more cost-effective alternative to gear grinding.
In gear hobbing, a rotating hob cutter generates the toothing in a continuous generating process – ideal for external gears and high volumes. In gear shaping, a reciprocating cutting wheel generates the tooth profile and is particularly suited to internal gears, shaft shoulders and hard-to-reach contours.
Yes. The control system was extensively retrofitted in 2012 by a specialized control systems provider: a new Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl with Sinamics drive technology, an electronic gearbox for all generating and single-part processes, a climate-controlled cabinet, complete rewiring, and an absolute measuring system on the A-axis. This combines the solid mechanics of the original build year with an up-to-date control generation with long-term spare-parts availability. Visit our own modernization page for further projects such as boring mills, large milling machines and grinding machines.
No, this LFS 380 stands without a raiser block (e = 0). This is not a practical drawback for this machine: Liebherr gear shaping machines feature a generously sized Z-axis travel range that covers a wide range of workpiece heights even without a raiser block – a clear advantage over many competitor machines in series production.
